IT'S A BOY!!!!!

Well, we found out that number four will be a little boy. We got three good shots of him, so it's for sure. Amanda was a little disappointed, but she loves her little Tyler and we know she'll love this little brother also. Emma wanted a little brother, but she just informed me that she wants a little sister and that we should make a change. Sorry Emma! Danny and I are happy. Really, we would've been good either way. At least Tyler will have sibling his same gender to play with. Now all we have to do is some room switching and redecorating to get ready for this little guy. Oh, and we have to figure out what to name him. Coming up with a name for Tyler was hard enough. So hopefully we will be able to agree on something :)!

Here's one of the pictures they gave us of this cute little guy. The other one is of his boy parts, so I though I'd refrain from posting that one :). Everything looked good and nothing was missing. Oh, and they moved my due date up to December 11th. So I will be officially 21 weeks tomorrow, instead of 20 weeks today. So we may be having a Thanksgiving baby. We'll see.....

Beautified Yard!

Joe and Connie, this post is mostly for you. Here are a bunch of pictures Danny took, with Emma's help, of your yard. These were taken the day after all the planting. The flowers are small, but add a nice color. The best part is you will be able to see what they look like in full bloom when you get home!!!

All the following pictures were taken by Emma. There were some others I didn't post - those of the garden hose, stepping stones, etc. I was quite impressed with these that she took. She has a good eye.

I'm not sure which tree this is, but it was a cool picture so I put it in :).

Happenings in the Barlow Family!

Hi Grandma and Grandpa-
Just thought we'd share with you some of the happenings in our family over the past few weeks. The first pictures on here are of Hilary and Zack at their Engagement Photo location. They had those taken on June 1st. The next group of pictures are from our family trip to Arches National Park on Memorial Day. And the third group of pictures are from my trip down to Zions National Park, where I hiked Angel's Landing the Friday before Memorial Day. Love you lots, hope you enjoy the pictures.

Here are Hilary and Zack's engagement pictures. They are not the professional ones, just some of the ones my mom took after the photographer left. The pictures were taken at the Garden Park Ward.

We thought this one was funny. Shows Hilary and Zack's personality's quite well.
Towards the end of our Arches trip it started to rain. But i was bound and determined to see Landscape Arch, so I drug my parents out in the rain to do the mile hike to see it.
Stopping to enjoy the view on our way up to Delicate Arch.
My cute parents in front of Delicate Arch.
The group in front of Windows Arch.
Cute Mally!
My dad and I in front of Turret Arch.
3 sisters in front of The Three Gossips. Very fitting!
At the trailhead of Park Avenue.

Up on a stone mound on the top of Angel's Landing. One step too far back would have led to about a 2,000 foot fall.

Out at the very tip of Angel's Landing.

FYI

I forgot to mention that at Tyler's two year doctor appointment his height was 36" (86%), his weight was 31 lbs. (82%), and his head was in the 99% (surprise!). I make sure I mention to the doctor every time they measure his head that his sisters were in the 90% with their head (I think Amanda was probably in the high 90's). He always seems reassured and says, "So, it runs in the family." It's kinda funny actually :). Also, be sure to watch the videos I posted below. They really are worth taking the time to view them. That's all the info. I needed to add :)!

A Cute Boy Named Tyler

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!!!

Tyler is now officially two! That sounds so grown up, but he's still my baby! He such a character and so much fun to have around. His new thing is to turn on light switches. He just loves to switch them on. If you turn them off after him, he'll come right back and turn them on. The hard part is when he turns on the outside lights. We don't usually know until it's dark. He still loves to throw just about everything he can get his hands on and usually throws it at anything he can. Usually it's places he shouldn't. The picture below is of items he was throwing behind the couch, but didn't quite make it.

We now have a line almost all the way across our computer screen (and it is still expanding) because of something he threw at it. Luckily what he's thrown at the t.v. hasn't caused any damage. He still loves to dance to music. He LOVES to play outside. We'll go in the backyard and he just wanders back and forth. Even when we go to the park his interest is more on just wandering than the play equipment (he does like the slide, though). Emma had a fieldtrip to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden and Tyler was just happy to be wandering the paths. Most the pictures of him are of his back because he wouldn't stand still (see picture below).

Here are a few snapshots and a video from Tyler's birthday party. I don't have all the pictures or video with his presents, but he sure had a great day.

Here's Tyler enjoying his birthday dinner, oh wait, maybe not!!!

Tyler has loved Emma's Curious George stuffed animal, but Emma didn't like baby slobber on it. So after much time searching on Ebay, I found one for him. This shows how much he loves his George. He was all smiles when he opened the package!

In this video is a part when Tyler opened his gift from Grandma and Grandpa Barlow. It was just a bag full of balls (about 9 or 10). I just love his reaction to it. The kid loves balls, so cute!

I had to put these picture in because as Danny said, "It was only a matter of time!"

I came upstairs and caught Amanda in the act of dressing Tyler in a princess outfit. The girls were laughing so hard. They thought it was the funniest thing ever! Daddy wasn't as thrilled, but was a good sport and helped Tyler put on a tiara for the picture.

You'll notice the little basketball in the background. He may be dressed like a girl, but was still throwing the ball like a boy!

I had to tack on this one that happened today. He's dressed as a fairy. I think Daddy has officially put a stop to dressing the boy up as a girl!

Sorry this entry is so long, but there's so much I haven't posted! It would be even longer if I included the girls!! Tyler is really coming along verbally. He's starting to say words and he really understands what's going on around him. He's just like his big sis Amanda when it comes to books and smarts. He loves to be read to and look at books. We have some alphabet books and he'll ask for them by the letter name. So he may be behind in talking, but he is sure picking up on everything else! Hope you have all enjoyed seeing our cute little Tyler. We sure love him and are so grateful he is part of our family!

Here's a final video that highlights our cute babies.
